EzyRec is a Mac screen recorder that runs entirely on your Mac. The short version: EzyRec does not collect your personal data, does not track you, and does not send your recordings anywhere. This page explains that in full.

What we collect

Nothing. EzyRec has no account, no sign-in, and no analytics. We do not collect your name, email, location, device identifiers, or any usage data. We run no server, so there is nowhere for your data to be sent and nothing for us to store.

Your recordings

Your screen recordings, audio, and exported videos are created and saved only on your Mac, in the locations you choose. They are never uploaded, transmitted, or seen by us or any third party. They leave your Mac only if you choose to share or move them yourself.

Microphone and screen access

EzyRec asks macOS for permission to record your screen and, if you turn it on, your microphone and system audio. These are used only to produce your recording, on your Mac, in real time. The captured audio and video are written into your file and are not sent anywhere. You can review or revoke these permissions at any time in System Settings, under Privacy & Security.

Purchases

EzyRec is free to download. Removing the watermark is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple's handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Third parties and tracking

EzyRec contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind, and does not track you across other apps or websites. This website uses no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

EzyRec is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your data and your rights

Because EzyRec collects and holds no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. Your recordings are yours: they stay on your Mac and you can move or delete them at any time. To stop EzyRec using your microphone or screen, revoke its permission in System Settings, under Privacy & Security.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Because EzyRec is built to keep everything on your Mac, we do not expect the substance to change.
